1. Define and preserve
We agree the immediate questions, identify urgent risks and preserve the material most likely to matter. Conflict and identity checks are completed before a retainer begins.
The order of the work is the same whether the next step is a private prosecution, a freeze, a report, or a decision to stop. Response times, once a retainer is in place, are set out in client care correspondence and, where published, on the Contact page.
We agree the immediate questions, identify urgent risks and preserve the material most likely to matter. Conflict and identity checks are completed before a retainer begins.
The relevant documents, accounts and witness evidence are reviewed. We explain what is established, what remains uncertain and what further work is proportionate. Where the volume of records requires it, Cobra AI (IYE Global) may be used; its output is reviewed on the matter.
We recommend the appropriate legal route, its likely cost and its principal risks. That may involve proceedings, an application for urgent relief, a report to an authority, negotiated resolution or no further action. Counsel is instructed where advocacy is needed. Local counsel is instructed where foreign procedure is required.
We agree the scope and charging basis before substantive work begins. We work on hourly rates for most matters and on fixed fees where the scope can be defined in advance. We will tell you which applies before you are committed to anything. See Pricing.
Each matter is supervised by a named solicitor. Job titles on this site are not a reserved-activity authorisation. Confirm current authorised individuals on the public SRA record.
