Professional indemnity insurance
Insurer: Travelers Insurance Company Limited. Minimum cover: £3,000,000. Territory: England and Wales. Our professional indemnity insurance meets the SRA's minimum terms and conditions and covers work carried out under the law of England and Wales. Advice on the law of another jurisdiction is outside our cover unless we confirm otherwise in writing.
Limitation of liability
Our liability for any single matter is capped at £3,000,000, matching our professional indemnity cover, unless we agree a different figure with you in writing before work begins. We do not exclude liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Client money
We do not operate a client account and we do not hold client money as defined by the SRA Accounts Rules. Fees and disbursements are paid into our business account against a bill or an agreed advance payment for costs, and any advance payment is applied only to the matter it was given for. Where a payment needs to be held by a third party, we will tell you who is holding it and on what terms before you send anything.
